Environmental Policy
Parque Principado is aware that its activity, like any other human activity, has an impact upon the environment.
It believes that, at present, a business leader must also be a leader when it comes to environmental issues.
It has the goal of setting the example in the property sector, by showing that the integration of environmental and economic aspects in the development process promotes financial profitability in business.
It recognises that, in the sphere of its activities, it has the responsibility to be proactive in caring for the environment for the sake of present and future generations.
Sonae Sierra, at its highest level, publically acknowledges an environmental commitment based upon the following guidelines:

- To progressively use Eco-efficiency as one of the factors in management and competitiveness.
- To conceive, build and run the establishments, Shopping and Leisure Centres, in an environmentally responsible way.
- To continuously improve the environmental development of its investments, products, processes and activities.
- To ensure conformity with environmental legislation and other relevant environmental regulations, adopting a responsible behaviour in cases where the legislation is either silent, or nonexistent.
- To define a list of environmental goals and objectives, including:
- Improving Information regarding the Environment
- Valuing Environmental resources
- Contamination Prevention and Emission Reduction
- Promoting the spreading of information to, and participation of, all interested parties
- To ensure that this Environmental Policy is documented, implemented, kept up and communicated to all staff and interested parties.
- To actively ensure the promotion of the policy and the spreading of information regarding it and, in particular, its results, to the public at large and to all interested parties.
